The National Men’s Basketball Team decided not to participate in the preparation tournament to be held in Serbia on July 6-7.

The Turkish Basketball Federation announced that this decision was due to the high number of injured players.

Here is the statement made by the Turkish Basketball Federation;

The camp process, which we started the summer with a limited squad, continued with two more players getting injured in the double-contact match we played in France with an 11-person squad, following the recurring injuries experienced by our National Team. During this process, it was decided that our crescent-stars would not participate in the preparation tournament to be held in Serbia in order not to risk the matches we will play away due to the insufficient squad. He was really the first name we talked about with Laurent Vila when we were imagining the team for the 24/25 season. He will be our ‘go to guy’ for the season. And with his experience and toughness, he will make the work of the whole team easier.
