Manaudou and Grousset in the 50m freestyle
Men’s 50m freestyle 11:18 a.m., Paris La Défense Arena
The two French short distance specialists, Florent Manaudou and Maxime Grousset, are starting the 50m freestyle heats this Thursday. The former is starting his Olympics while the latter has just finished in a disappointing fifth place in the 100m freestyle. Favourites for the distance, the two Frenchmen will be looking to qualify for the semi-finals which will take place from 8:46pm at the Paris La Défense Arena.
Madeleine Malonga on the road to Gold
Judo -78 Kg women 10 a.m., Arena Champ-de-Mars
The Tokyo silver medalist returns to the Tatami with an obsession in mind: winning individual gold in her -78 kg category. Madeleine Malonga enters the competition in the round of 16. Favorite in the discipline, the French judoka is one of the biggest chances of a medal for French judo, which is chasing its first gold medal in these Games.

Vaast and Duru face off at Teahupo’o
Surf hommes 19h36, Teahupo’o Tahiti
The two French surfers will meet this Thursday from 7 p.m. (French time) for an all-French quarter-final on the Teahupo’o wave in Tahiti. Kauli Vaast and Joan Duru qualified brilliantly in the previous rounds, allowing France to secure a place in the semi-final, which will be held on Thursday evening from 11:48 p.m. (French time), and which could bring a medal to the French delegation.

Pavon and Perez debut at Golf National
Men’s golf from 9 a.m., Golf National
In a competition that promises to be very high, due to the presence of all the biggest stars of the world circuit, the two Frenchmen Matthieu Pavon and Victor Perez enter the scene at the Golf National. Matthieu Pavon who is coming off a great first season on the PGA circuit has announced that he is aiming for a medal at home.

Titouan Castryck favori en Kayak

After a series demonstration, in which he achieved the two best times, well ahead of his competitors, Titouan Castryck is the big favorite for gold in Single Kayak. To win this medal he will first have to achieve one of the 12 best times in the semi-final (15:30) before letting loose in the final (17:30) to reach Olympus.

Lucas Kryzs a final du tir
50 m rifle shooting 3 positions 9:30 a.m., Châteauroux
With a nice 4th place in the qualifications on Wednesday, the Frenchman Lucas Kryzs will participate on Thursday in the final of the 50-meter rifle shooting, three positions, on Wednesday in Châteauroux. At 23 years old, he will have a good chance of winning the first medal of the French Shooting in these Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

The Blue Basketball Teams Challenge Nigeria
Women’s basketball 5:15 p.m., Stade Pierre Mauroy Lille
Very convincing in their entry into the Olympic tournament against Canada, this Monday (75-54), the Blue basketball team will face Nigeria on Thursday. Currently in first place in Group B, tied with their opponent this evening, the Blue team must win to continue to gain confidence and to secure first place in the group.

Sofiane Oumiha fights for the semi-final
Boxing 63.5 kg men 5:38 p.m., Arena Paris Nord
After a first fight totally dominated by the Frenchman Sofiane Oumiha against the Jordanian Obada Alkabesh, the French boxer presents himself this Thursday for his quarter-final. To reach the last four, the tricolor will have to overcome the Hungarian Richard Kovacs. Silver medalist in Rio in 2016, Oumiha hopes to win gold on home soil.

French 3×3 Basketball continues
Women 12:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., Men 2:05 p.m. and 10:35 p.m., La Concorde
For its second appearance at the Olympic Games, after its introduction at the Tokyo Games in 2021, 3×3 Basketball is being held on the magnificent La Concorde site. In splendid conditions, the French will play two matches this Thursday evening. After losing their first two against China (21-19) and Spain (17-12), the women will face Azerbaijan and Canada before the men, winners of Poland (21-19) and Lithuania (21-20), challenge the Netherlands and Serbia.
