Serge Gnabry and Leon Goretzka are considered candidates for sale at FC Bayern. Former squad planner Michael Reschke assesses the situation.
What will happen to Leon Goretzka and Serge Gnabry? Both players have a contract with FC Bayern that runs until 2026, but both have been considered candidates for sale for some time now in the squad of the record champions, who definitely still need departures after various new signings.

In an interview with SPORT1, former Bayern squad planner Michael Reschke assessed the situation and pointed out a hurdle that has so far received little attention. “Both have already proven their class internationally and are also really good guys. Two strong characters, both German and you have to keep an eye on the Champions League registration list,” explained the 66-year-old and explained the possible registration problem further.
“If Bayern sell German key players, they will have real problems later on for the entry list of the premier class. A certain number of local players is extremely important. If Bayern sells two or three experienced German players, things could get tight,” he said.

Reschke believes Gnabry will stay
Reschke has a particular tendency when it comes to Gnabry. “I don’t think Serge Gnabry wants to leave Bayern. I have a lot of respect for him and was instrumental in his transfer. He only cost seven million euros in transfer fees and was definitely worth it. Something really exciting would have to happen for Serge to even think about a transfer,” the former Bayern employee is sure.

“The market for Gnabry and Goretzka will basically be manageable, as only a few clubs are interested in both of them. Only top international clubs could be considered.” READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>
He added: “In Germany, for example, there is no alternative for the two of them, as their expectations and the economic conditions cannot be met by any club.”
Goretzka’s departure from FC Bayern possible
Sporting director Max Eberl hinted about three weeks ago that Goretzka might be leaving. In an interview with Welt, he referred to the Spanish national team’s European Championship triumph with regard to Goretzka. According to him, it is not always about having the best players, but rather those who work together best on the pitch.
“It was hard for Leon that he wasn’t at the European Championships. But you have to put up with it. The success of a national team is more important than an individual’s fate. The success of a club is the same,” explained Eberl.

Given the enormous competition, Reschke can therefore also imagine Goretzka leaving – under certain conditions.
“Competition is completely normal at top clubs, and Leon will make sure of that. If he feels at the end of August that it will be difficult to get meaningful playing time, I could imagine that he will show a willingness to transfer. At the moment, that is probably not an issue for him.”
