09-10-2024

Slagelse 2 – Køge 1

Now it was time for Slagelse 2 to play against a Køge team, which had done very well in their first two team matches. We therefore knew it would be a difficult team match.

1. mix with Rasmus and Sofie have started to find each other after 2 matches together, and are playing a close match where the match could have gone to both sides. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a three-set defeat.

2nd mix with Jonathan and Line plays as close a match as 1st mix. But despite hard work and good fighting spirit, they have to see themselves beaten in a close three-set.

Caroline in the 1st women’s singles meets a good opponent and really has to fight for it. The first set is lost fairly clearly, but the second set is fought for and becomes somewhat more even, but unfortunately has to see itself beaten in two sets.

In the 2nd women’s singles, Isabella also meets a good opponent and also fights well to keep up, unfortunately not enough and has to see herself beaten in two sets.

Jeppe Thun in the 1st men’s single had come up with a task to test his fitness. The first set ends in a tiebreaker, which unfortunately goes the opponent’s way and the second set lacks the last few forces to be able to come through. The match is lost in two sets.

2nd men’s singles with Jeppe Løjborg in the jersey plays an incredibly close match and is a match that drags on so both players are under pressure. The match can go either way, but unfortunately for the opponent, defeat in three sets. READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>

In the 3rd men’s singles, Bo never really gets into the match in the first set. In the second set there is movement and the game but does not have the final margins, and thus loses the second set 20-22.

In the 4th men’s singles, it will be a young showdown where Tobias gets off to a good start but must quickly realize that the match will be very difficult. The outcome of the match will be defeat in 2 sets and minor damage to the back.

1. DD struggles for periods of the match and never really comes together. Super unfortunate as the girls put in a good effort. The match is lost in two sets.

2. DD is somewhat the same story and meets a good opponent, they try but must feel it is not enough, defeat in two sets.

1. HD plays a really good match and quickly gets a handle on how to play, this results in the first win of the match in two sets.

2. HD does the same and gets control of the game, plays well and this ends with a two set win.

3. HD plays a close match and plays well, unfortunately the opponents also play well and this unfortunately ends with a very small defeat in two sets.

The team match ends 11-2 to Køge, who had a very good team with them to Vestsjælland this time. Unfortunately, we just need to win the close matches – but we have agreed that we will do that next time.

Player of the match was Jeppe Thun.
