Man Discovers A Gold Mine In His Homeland And Makes The Greatest Mistake Of His Life

It was the first time Harold made an investment as huge as a 17-hectare property. After seeing the house, and how vast the land was, he can’t help but really feel accomplished with his decision… or so he thought.

While the land and the house were an investment, Harold discovers later on that this all came with a price. The undiscovered dark place beneath his house which he tried to explore… would later on become the greatest mistake he ever did in his life!

Harold Stevens had always wanted to live on his own and be independent, after spending his late 20s living with his parents.

While he had the greatest childhood and an ever-supporting family, he still wants to get a taste of independence in his life. After scoring a great deal in his job, Harold decided to put the huge income to good use. He bought a 17-hectare lot with a house in Arizona!

Harold thought it was a great deal, seeing as the huge land lets him do some nature exploration in his free time.

Right after the realtor went with him to his newly bought property, Harold can’t help but feel excited. He promised himself that he would explore his own land alone the minute the realtor leaves. After signing a few more papers to finalize the ownership of the property, the realtor said goodbye to Harold.

Now, it’s time for some adventure…

It was everything Harold wanted! The nature, the humming of birds – Harold can’t help but think that his parents would really love staying here for the holidays.

The property marks a new chapter in his life. So Harold spent a few more hours outside, taking in how every tree and every land he sees was his. Before the sun could fully set, Harold decided to walk back to his house…Click Here To Continue Reading>> …Click Here To Continue Reading>>

Before he could fully enter, he saw something he was sure he didn’t see during the inspection…

Further below the right window of the house, there was an odd fixture of plants that seemed to be hiding something.

Harold wasn’t an expert on plants or anything in nature, but a simple comparison with the plants surrounding his house was enough to conclude that the one beneath the window was artificially arranged.

So he decided to do the one thing that would lead him to the greatest mistake of his life…

After getting tools to remove the plants, Harold could not believe what he saw.

It was a tunnel-like hole! It was dark further down, so he really could not see what lies ahead. But, Harold couldn’t believe how he did not see this before. Even the realtor failed to tell him about this spot of the house.

There was a part in Harold that wants to go back to the house, but his curiosity got the best of him…

With his flashlight and phone, Harold set to explore the tunnel beneath his house.

It was dark… and seems to be just like a normal tunnel. He walked further inside, planning to see where the tunnel stops. Harold was already thinking of raising this unexplored part of his house to his realtor, as he can’t help but feel blindsided by this.

Then, just as he was about to turn around, something caught his attention that made him gasp in surprise.

After pointing his flashlight at different parts of the wall tunnel, it caught something that made Harold’s heart race.

There was something glinting on the walls! This was quite unusual to see for Harold, as all along, he had been seeing hardened and moist dirt which wasn’t really interesting. Harold went closer to inspect, and he can’t quite figure out what the material was.

Just a few steps more, he found out the walls were slowly becoming like glinting material!

Harold can’t help but wonder what he was seeing. So, he tried to search on his phone…

There was no reception! He must have walked a couple of meters away from the entrance as there was completely no way to reach anyone through his phone.

As he pocketed his phone, an odd sound suddenly filled the cave…

Harold felt the hairs on his arm stand up, fear overtaking his body.

He turned around, flashlight going in different directions to try and see where the sound came from. But all he saw was the glinting of the walls, and the darker part of the tunnel. It doesn’t seem he will reach its end anytime soon!

Before he could move, the sound repeated again. It seemed like there was someone with him.

“Who’s there?” Harold asked. Was there someone living on his property?

He waited for a few seconds for an answer. Harold did not know which was better: for someone to answer him, or be met with complete silence. After what seemed like the longest minute of his life, no one answered him.

Still, curiosity got the best of him…

When Harold was met with no answer, silence once again fell upon the tunnel.

Harold walked further to the darker side, counting his steps now. After just about 15 steps, he noticed something different!

The walls were still lined with the glinting material… but this part of the tunnel was unnaturally cold as if there was ice everywhere!

There were chills running through Harold’s body. The temperature dropped significantly, but it was tolerable.

Before he could take a step further, the sound made its presence known once again. Upon being aware of the time when he looked at his phone a while ago, Harold knew it was time to head back.

But, the sound was followed by something else.

It was like a sound cut from a suspense movie! There was a creaking of rusty metal that made him almost drop his flashlight.

Terrified, Harold looked around to find out where it was coming from. That’s when he noticed the massive door at the slight right of the path ahead of him. But, the door was unmoving, making Harold’s head swirl in fear.

When he tried to look around if someone was with him…

There was no one… but the chains locking the huge door was now swinging!

It causes eerie sounds to echo throughout the tunnel, making Harold sweat despite the cold temperature surrounding him. There was something unusual in this tunnel, that he was sure.

He knew it was time to head back and give his realtor a call.

After almost running and tripping heading back to the entrance, Harold realized how far he had just walked.

The distance could have been more than the length of his house already. The walls were slowly turning back to their initial dirt texture and it comforted Harold, as that means he was close to the exit.

Upon looking back, Harold can’t but let out a large breath…

There was nothing following him, only pitch black, and Harold can’t help but feel the overwhelming relief as soon as he stepped out of the tunnel.

While it was all a thrilling experience, Harold knew the tunnel below him will keep him up all night. After all, there was this fear of not knowing whether there was someone living below him!

Even though it was already half past ten in the evening, Harold knew he wouldn’t get any peace of mind if he doesn’t call his realtor soon. READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>

After telling his realtor, Mason, everything he just experienced, it was then that Mason told him his land was previously a mining site.

Harold was speechless for a few seconds, wondering why Mason didn’t tell him that in the first place. As the conversation was getting heated, Mason promised that the firm would send a specialist to inspect Harold’s concerns, and all expenses covered.

Knowing someone was going to help him, Harold got good sleep for just a few hours…

Harold woke up before the sun could rise.

The tunnel was haunting him! There was a part of him that knows he was just dreaming, but Harold could swear he could hear from his bedroom the clanking of metals that could be sitting right below him.

It was then that he knew that he really need to get this over with.

Harold waited most of the next day for the specialist Mason was going to send, but no one appeared.

He couldn’t help but think that maybe Mason just promised him that to avoid their conversation escalating. As Harold kept thinking of the possibility that there was someone living below him, the lights in his house flickered.

And everything was happening all at once!

After a couple of minutes of flickering, the lights went off and so does every appliance Harold has in his house.

As he looked around in the pitch black, he couldn’t help but be reminded of the tunnel below him. All thoughts about the similarity were pushed aside, as Harold tried to convince himself that maybe there was just some problem with the electric circuit of his house.

A few steps towards the breaker, Harold experiences another similar thing in the tunnel…

The temperature dropped drastically! Harold could not believe it.

He still pursued the breaker, trying not to think how all of these were related to the dark space remaining unexplored beneath his house. He finally reached his destination and upon looking at the whole setup…

Everything seemed to be fine!

Harold tried to think of other reasonable excuses as to why the electricity suddenly went off in his house.

Maybe there was something wrong with the wires! It could be a lot of reasons, given the rainy weather all day. With this thought, Harold made his way back to the living room.

As he was just entering the space, there was a knock on the door.

Who could possibly be knocking at this hour?

Harold cautiously stepped closer to his front door, wondering who could be on his property at this time of the night. After everything that has happened, he couldn’t help but feel like it was finally the one he was hearing yesterday at the other side of his door.

Then, he slowly opened the door…

A slightly middle-aged man was on the other side, someone just about his father’s age.

“Sorry for coming in late, Mr. Stevens. I’m Frank Harris, I was sent by Mason here.” The man introduced himself. Despite barging in at an unreasonable hour, Harold couldn’t help but sigh in relief.

He let Mr. Harris inside his house and watched as the man inspected the pitch-black home.

“I assume Mason briefed you on the history of this land?” Mr. Harris asked, remaining by the front door of the house. The lack of electricity seemed normal to him!

Harold nodded, but deep inside, still regretfully thinking how Mason told him a bit too late. He already moved to his new house and if it wasn’t for his curiosity, he wouldn’t discover that there is something questionable where the house was standing.

Then, Mr. Harris asked the one thing that made Harold double take…

“Do you mind if we take a look at the tunnel you were talking about?” Mr. Harris asked him.

As Harold looked around at the lack of electricity in his house, he nodded, figuring how there was nothing for him to do there. Besides, he wouldn’t be able to sleep having no heater in his house!

Mr. Harris gestured for him to lead the way…

Harold led Mr. Harris to the entrance of the tunnel right beside his house.

It was dark and given the time of the night, it was hard to see even the tunnel floors. Mr. Harris seemed to have expected this and brought out his own flashlight, finally taking the lead down the tunnel.

Then, Mr. Harris asked Harold where he saw the sparkling lining of the walls…

“It’s quite a walk down below,” Harold answered. Mr. Harris just nodded and he seemed resolute to see what Harold was talking about.

After a few minutes of silence, they finally reached the point where the walls are transitioning to the glinting walls Harold saw before. Mr. Harris halted to a full stop, pointing his light to the walls, walking nearer and nearer…

Harold’s eyes went big when he saw something he did not expect!

As Mr. Harris got closer, he reached to touch the linings!

Harold watched as Mr. Harris brought his hand closer to his face, seemingly smelling the materials of the wall. Then, he let the older man look around, briefly directing his flashlight on the darker part of the tunnel ahead.

“Where was the temperature drop?” Mr. Harris asked. Harold can’t help but wonder whether he should really lead Mr. Harris there…

In about 15 steps, just like what Harold experienced before, the temperature dropped drastically.

The familiar coldness reminded Harold of the temperature at his house right now. He hopes he was just imagining the similarities…

Before he could think further, Mr. Harris said something that made Harold want to bolt out then and there.

After his observations, Mr. Harris told Harold that the tunnel was an abandoned gold mine site.

While the word “gold” should have thrilled Harold to no end, Mr. Harris proceeded to tell him that the specific mine site they were currently standing at was unfinished, and it seemed as if the miners left before they could even harvest the gold they were looking for.

It was as if they left in haste!

There could have been a lot of reasons why miners would just abandon an opportunity like this.

After telling Harold his observations, Mr. Harris turned towards the entrance, seemingly wanting to leave already. He told Harold that his job was done and that was all he could offer to the owner of the property. As he was leaving, his last words left Harold’s mind reeling.

“It’s unusual for them to leave sites like this… so they must have seen something bad to just abandon this gold mine

The man was then rushed to surgery where surgeons successfully removed a cup the size of a hand from what appears to be an incision in his stomach.

According to The Post, video shows the procedure which begins with one doctor cleaning the stomach area before carefully removing the silver cup with the bottom of the object facing up. Medical staff appears to be in disbelief as the surgeon holds up the tumbler for the camera.

The man, who works as a laborer, has recovered well, according to reports. The medical professionals have hypothesized that the cup reached his stomach after being inserted up the man’s ‘behind’. Doctors said the man got extremely drunk with three strangers after returning from a grocery store, where he had gone to get vegetables. By the time he sobered up, the unknown people were not present, and doctors aren’t sure if the man shoved the cup up his rectum himself or if he was assaulted.
