Brenda was having a difficult day, which began in the morning following her disagreement with her husband.
On her way, she got into a fight with another driver, in which they pulled their windows down and called each other insults. When she arrived at the post office where she worked, her supervisor scolded her.
“That wasn’t even my fault,” Brenda said to herself. Everyone she saw that day was causing her headaches. She tried some medication, but it didn’t help…Click Here To Continue Reading>> …Click Here To Continue Reading>>
The post WOMAN YELLED AT THE OLD MAN, WHO WAS WEARING HIS OVERWORN COAT AT THE POST OFFICE appeared first on Timeless Life.
She was waiting for the day to end so she could return home and sleep in her bed till the following morning. She spotted an old man at the door, but she wanted to return home. “We are already closed. “Return on Monday,” Brenda urged.
“Please, madam. I need to send it. “I walked four miles in the rain to get here,” the elderly man said.
Brenda sighed and decided to arrange the package for the elderly man. The old man’s hands were shaking, and his writing was illegible.
“Sir, I don’t comprehend what you’re writing. I am not an adept at understanding hieroglyphs!” Brenda shouted, “Write it more clearly!”
Brenda was concerned that she would be late picking up her son from school, so she called her husband to inform him.
“Could you please pick up Ava from school today?” “I’m running late because a customer came in at the last minute,” Brenda told her husband. READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>
It was raining outside, and the old man was correct. Brenda was talking with her husband when an elderly guy approached her and offered to give her his old, worn-out coat. Brenda noticed that the old man had a pacemaker. Her late father had the same device, so she recognized it from the wrinkles on his clothes.
It warmed Brenda as she realized how much she missed her late father.
“I understand that you’re upset with me. I apologize for coming into the post office so late. I couldn’t hail a cab because it was raining, so I had to walk. My knees aren’t strong anymore, so I couldn’t get here faster,” the old man remarked, apologizing. “I’ll mail the package on Monday. Please go home to your family.”
“Do not worry, sir. I have already asked my husband to bring up my daughter from school. What’s your name? Brenda smiled and said, “Come, let us process your package.”
“Thank you, darling. “My name is William,” the old guy said as they returned inside together.
“My daughter will turn 50 tomorrow. I wanted to get her something unique because it is difficult for me to commute to see her. When Brenda inquired about the package William was sending, he stated that he had saved up for it and was concerned that it might not arrive on time.
But it was late, and the cargo had already been sent. As a result, the box would not arrive at its intended destination the next day.
“I hate to break it to you, sir, but if we process it here, this box will arrive late. We’ve already shipped our next-day delivery packages. Brenda said, “This will arrive on Sunday,” and then she realized that the site was two hours away.
“Come with me,” she said to the old guy, and urged her friend to lock up the post office as the shift ended.
“Where are we going?” William inquired.
“We’re going to your daughter’s house to celebrate this milestone birthday with her in person,” she said with a laugh.
