    Alphonso Davies had hoped for a bidding war for his name during the 2024 European Championship. FC Bayern is still waiting for an official offer from Madrid. But as has now become known, the Royal Club are distancing themselves from signing the 23-year-old.

    Munich – The BILD recently reported that Davies wants to wait until the end of the Copa América to await new or improved offers. So far, however, FC Bayern has not received an official offer from Real Madrid. According to Spanish transfer insider José Félix Díaz, the Champions League winner will not make any offer at all this summer.

    According to reports, Madrid is assuming that Davies will stay in Munich. In addition, the 23-year-old no longer seems to be seen as “extremely necessary” as the club is happy with its own left-back Ferland Mendy. Furthermore, the Royal Club cannot imagine the two defensive stars coexisting.

    Does FC Bayern now have the upper hand?

    According to information from Diaz, Davies has apparently gambled and lost: The Munich team’s offer of 13 million euros in annual salary plus four million euros in bonuses was rejected by the player and he insisted on the 20 million euros demanded. With the loss of rival Real Madrid, Davies lacks a concrete suitor other than FC Bayern. READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>

    Various media reports suggest that the Munich team will demand a transfer fee of around 50 to 60 million euros for the Canadian, should he move in the summer. BILD However, as reported, FCB is also prepared to go into the coming season with Davies and accept the risk of a free transfer in 2025. They are therefore not willing to allow themselves to be put under pressure – apparently with success.

    So far, there has only been loose interest from the Premier League, apart from Real. If no other interested parties for the left-back are found this summer, Davies will also consider extending his contract with the German record champions.

    But one thing is clear: FCB will have the better negotiating position in this case.

    The National Men’s Basketball Team decided not to participate in the preparation tournament to be held in Serbia on July 6-7.

    The Turkish Basketball Federation announced that this decision was due to the high number of injured players.

    Here is the statement made by the Turkish Basketball Federation;

    The camp process, which we started the summer with a limited squad, continued with two more players getting injured in the double-contact match we played in France with an 11-person squad, following the recurring injuries experienced by our National Team. During this process, it was decided that our crescent-stars would not participate in the preparation tournament to be held in Serbia in order not to risk the matches we will play away due to the insufficient squad. Coming off a complicated season in Turkey at Bodrumspor, Artis returns to France to try to help Strasbourg, who failed to reach the playoffs this season. “The signing of Dominic Artis is a very important element in the construction of our roster. He was really the first name we talked about with Laurent Vila when we were imagining the team for the 24/25 season. He will be our ‘go to guy’ for the season. And with his experience and toughness, he will make the work of the whole team easier. He is a true leader and we are very happy to welcome him to our team,” reacted SIG Strasbourg sporting director Nicola Alberani in a press release.
