After the “best phase of my career so far”, as Laszlo Benes personally describes the last season at Hamburger SV with 13 goals and twelve assists, the 26-year-old is now moving up a league. As Union Berlin announced on Friday, Benes is moving to the Irons. The club did not provide any information on the duration of his contract.

“With Laszlo we are gaining a versatile midfielder who can create chances time and again, including with his set pieces. In addition, he has already gained a lot of valuable experience in German football in recent years, so we are convinced that he will strengthen our team with his qualities,” said Managing Director of Professional Football Horst Heldt.

Exit clause and transfer fee

Benes is currently with Slovakia at the European Championships in Germany. He was allowed to play from the 60th minute in the 1:2 defeat against Ukraine on matchday 2. He hopes to be in the starting eleven in Berlin in the future. After all, the attacking midfielder comes with the recommendation of 40 goal involvements in two years at HSV and thus made himself interesting for Union.

Benes made use of an exit clause in his contract to make the move. HSV will not receive more than two million euros in transfer fees for Benes, as Borussia Mönchengladbach will also benefit financially from the transfer.

“Union is a very good club in Germany. I’m looking forward to getting to know the team soon and I’m highly motivated to make a fresh start in the Bundesliga next season in order to be able to support the club in its sporting goals as best as possible,” said Benes, commenting on his move to the Köpenickers. After finishing 15th in the table, they will not play on the international stage, unlike in the 2023/24 season. READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>

Benes already knows the German top flight well from his time at Borussia Mönchengladbach and six months on loan at FC Augsburg, where he played 65 times in the Bundesliga. More games are now to follow with the Iron Ones.

Capillary boxes are an exciting area within materials science that holds endless possibilities. These microscopic structures have the ability to transport liquids and gases through tiny channels driven by surface tension. By exploring and exploiting this phenomenon, we can develop a wide range of innovative applications, such as microfluidic devices, self-cleaning surfaces and advanced sensor technologies. Researchers are currently working to understand the fundamental principles that govern the dynamics of capillary boxes and how they can be tailored for specific purposes. This knowledge will open up new opportunities in areas such as energy, medicine and environmental technology.

from wood to metal – a world of materials

Materials come in a myriad of forms and properties. From the classic wood to modern metals, there are endless possibilities to create products that meet our needs. Wood is a natural and sustainable material that can be shaped into everything from furniture to building materials. Metals such as steel and aluminum, on the other hand, are characterized by their strength and resilience, and are often used in industry and for advanced constructions. Regardless of which material is chosen, there are always opportunities to create functional and aesthetic solutions. A good example is capillary boxes in different materialswhich can be used for a wide range of purposes.

capillary boxes: when nature meets technology

Capillary boxes are a good example of how nature can inspire technological solutions. These little boxes utilize the same physical principles that cause liquids to rise in plants through the capillary effect. In technological applications, capillary boxes can be used to transport liquids without the use of pumps or other mechanical components. They can, for example, be used to distribute liquids evenly in fuel cells or to transport blood in medical devices. Capillary boxes are cheap to produce, have no moving parts and can be designed to work in many different contexts where controlled fluid transport is needed.

Design options with capillary boxes

Capillary boxes open up a wealth of design possibilities. These small structures can be shaped in almost infinite variations, giving designers and architects great creative freedom. The capillary boxes can be created in different sizes, shapes and patterns, and they can be integrated into building facades, ceilings or other surfaces. Their ability to control and distribute liquid makes them particularly interesting for sustainable building designs, where they can be used to collect and recycle rainwater. In addition, the capillary boxes can be used to create visual effects such as to filter light or create dynamic patterns. The possibilities are almost endless when it comes to utilizing the unique properties of capillary boxes in innovative building designs.

Application of capillary boxes in industry and everyday life

Capillary boxes have many applications in both industry and everyday life. In industry, they are used to transport liquids and gases in an efficient way, where the capillary action replaces mechanical pumps. This makes them suitable for use in microfluidic systems, where small amounts of liquids must be moved accurately. In everyday life, capillary boxes can be used to collect and distribute liquids, for example in water collection systems or to transport fuel in portable units. Their ability to move liquids without the use of external forces makes them particularly useful in compact and mobile solutions.

Material selection and its influence on the function of capillary boxes

The choice of material has a significant influence on the function of capillary boxes. Different materials have different properties that can affect the strength and direction of the capillary force. For example, materials with high surface tension will generally have stronger capillary force than materials with low surface tension. Likewise, the structure and porosity of the material can also play a role, as more porous materials often have better capillary power. By choosing the right material for a given application, you can therefore optimize the performance of the capillary box and achieve the desired functional properties. The Luke Shaw Dilemma: A Headache for Southgate in the Eurocup

Published

on

By

Shaw adds another problem for Southgate

What’s going on with Luke ShawWhy was it included by Gareth Southgate in the call for the Eurocup if he had been injured and out of action for five months? His team has already played four matches in the tournament, is on the verge of playing in the quarter-finals, and there is no sign of Shaw, without any minutes and with little chance of getting into Southgate’s starting eleven for his next match.

The British team’s coach must have a lot of confidence in the Manchester United player to have called him up injured and to place a ‘patch’ like him in his position. Kieran Trippierwho has played in the Euros in Shaw’s position on the other leg. Or his confidence in other possible candidates whom he left in England must be zero, as is the case of Ben Chilwell o Tyrick Mitchell). The fact is that Shaw came to Germany not fully recovered from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of action since February and there is only conflicting news about him.

However, in the last few hours he has finally trained with the group. He was even the man scheduled to address the media on Wednesday, but at the last minute he changed his mind and decided to postpone his appearance until he had played a few minutes. His replacement in front of the press, the forward Ivan Toneywho has only played thirty Euros, joked about the change of plans: “It confirms that I am now a professional substitute,” he said with a smile.

And in the meantime, almost before every game, Southgate has had to answer whether Shaw was ready to return. First, against Serbia in England’s opening game, he hinted that he could already count on him, but in the end he did not play at all: “We have to decide whether it is possible to use Luke from the bench. All the players are available,” he said. READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>

For the second match against Denmark, he was less optimistic: “He needs a bit more work, there are days when he needs to do more than the rest and he needs to recover”; for the third, against Slovenia, he threw in the towel: “Luke is the only one who is not available,” he said; and in view of the round of 16 match against Slovakia, he hinted that he could get minutes, something that did not happen either: “He is not ready to be a starter, we will speak with the doctors to see if he can participate,” he explained.

The Shaw show goes on. England, with no real left-backs, only have one who is not sure if he will ever play. Southgate took a huge risk by leaving others on the sidelines to bet on a full-back who was recovering from an injury. So far, the move has not worked out well for the England manager, who has turned Luke Shaw into a mystery, with many wondering why he was included in the final squad before others if he cannot play. Against Switzerland, however, the situation could change, to Southgate’s relief.
