2. MTB itineraries around Conero

Around and inside the Conero Regional Natural Park you can take very interesting bike routes, between sea and inland, between asphalted and dirt roads, between plains and climbs. But being a hilly area that ends in a promontory, you need to be a bit fit, or use an electric bike (the e-bike cycle tourism is becoming a new way of travelling).

There are several routes not to be missed: among those launched by Apt Marche in the Rebirth project there is a rather challenging one of 103 km that starts from Ancona and returns there, touching Osimo and then pushing further and further inside away Abbey, Jesi, Monte Roberto, then return along the parallel that passes through Montecucco and leads back to Conero. With possible extension up to Fabriano for a total of about 200 km.

But there are more feasible ones, two of which are worth it.
The first is the circumnavigation of the Conero promontorya 38 km ring that touches the Wolf’s Pass and the wonderful beach of Two sistersand 38km ring with departure and arrival from Marcelli di Numana. The villages of Numana and Sirolowhich have the most beautiful beaches in the region, and then we enter the Mount Conero to climb to the top and finally descend back to Marcelli through the Rosso Conero vineyardsThe climbs are challenging and not suitable for beginners,

Another nice tour to do, if you are trained, is the Leopardi’s route, on the poet’s places: a 43 km ring ups and downs of medium difficulty (to be tackled by e-bike or mountain bike) and with a couple of non-trivial climbs.
It is located further south than Conero in the places that inspired Leopardi: the starting point is from Port Recanati and we go up the hills described by Giacomo Leopardi towards Recanatithe poet’s city, where to stop to see the house and the exciting hedge of infinity. The circuit continues towards Potenza Picena and then returns to the starting point.

3. The Path of the Changed Lands by bike

Il Path of the Changed Landsborn in 2018, crosses Marche, Umbria and Abruzzo along the Apennine ridge shaken in recent years by some terrible earthquakes. Now the route that goes from Fabriano to L’Aquila it has become one of the most evocative and loved paths by the public, but also an exhilarating one mountain bike trail.

4. Bike routes in the Sibillini Mountains

The Sibillini Mountains are a world. part for bike lovers. A kind of mecca of mountain biking and e-mtb. But not only that: there are many possibilities, even for those who prefer asphalt or mixed for gravel bikes
The most complete but very long path is the competition oneMarche Trail: 360 km from Numana to Cupra Maritima, with 7600 meters of altitude difference: it is not technically difficult but certainly challenging. And definitely suggestive: it is for the 70% dirt road and takes you up the Sibillini hills in the middle of nowhere and silence.
More affordable, but not for everyone, the Great Way of the Sibillini Mountains It is a 140 km ring on asphalt that goes around the hills with a difference in altitude of 3500 metres.

You can explore Iron Age caves and Roman buildings, surrounded by green nature and the emerald waters of the river.
Unmissable if you are in these parts, especially with the children. A good idea is to do round trip from Acqualagna to Sant’Anna, for about 20 km.
Those who want to take a longer route can start from Gadana (55 km).

6. The wine routes of the Marche, bike tours

The hills of Verdicchio and Rosso Piceno are the main areas of vine cultivation in the Marche, and can be explored by bicycle in food and wine itineraries.
The Verdicchio hills of the Castelli di Jesi and the Lacrima di Morro d’Alba, are located in the interior of the province of Ancona, in the valley of the Esino river. By bike you go from the river to the hills carpeted with vines and olive groves, in a ring marked by ups and downs. Between one tasting and another you can stop in the village of Mount St. Vitusat the Collegiate Church of San Pietro Apostolo and at Palazzo Malatesta.

Meanwhile, the Bengals are wasting the best years of Joe Burrow, who turns 28 in December. He wouldn’t be the first quality quarterback to waste his talent in this uniform.
