Indonesian Olympic Committee President Optimistic for Paris 2024 Medal Success

Jakarta – Indonesian Aquatics Federation President and Head of Mission for Indonesia at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Anindya Novyan Bakri hopes that Indonesian athletes will be able to show their best skills.

Bakri, quoted by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), said that although the Olympic Games are very competitive, fighting with a strong spirit, athletes and coaches can achieve the best for Indonesia.

“I hope Indonesia can win a medal at the 2024 Olympics,” Anindya Bakri said in a statement on Wednesday, July 10.

It is worth noting that 29 athletes will compete in 12 sports at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which is a special achievement.

“This is the highest number of athletes in the last two decades. We hope that there will be an improvement compared to the previous Olympic Games,” he said.

Meanwhile, Raja Sapta Oktohari, president of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC), is expecting medals from the Indonesian contingent.

Oktohari is optimistic that Indonesia will win more medals in its Olympic history, “but all of this requires the support and prayers of the people.”

A young badminton player realizes his deceased father’s dream
