Today’s three must-sees
Road Cycling: Road Race (Men)
On a demanding circuit, which will see the riders climb the Montmartre hill several times, the eyes of the French fans will be on Julian Alaphilippe, who skipped the last Tour de France to prepare for these Olympics. The double world champion will have as his main opponents the Belgians Van Aert and Evenepoel, and especially the Dutchman Van der Poel. Start at 11am.
Judo: team event (mixed)
Introduced three years ago in Tokyo, the team event pits six fighters against each other, three women and three men. For its first edition, it was the French team led by Clarisse Agbégnénou, Romane Dicko and Teddy Riner who won. We can therefore hope for a second Olympic title in a row. Start at 8am, finish at 5:20pm.
Athletics: 100m (women)
The fastest women in the world will meet at the Stade de France. The title should be decided between the American Sha’Carri Richardson, the Saint Lucian Julien Alfred and the Jamaican legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. Final at 9:20 p.m.
