But no matter how much you plan, life does not always turn out the way you wanted it to.
Brad and Liz had everything they ever wanted, and even before they got married, they knew they would live a wonderful life together.
They had the same dreams, the same values, and the same goals in life.
But three months before they were supposed to get married, something happened that changed their lives forever.
Brad and Liz and their three children were in the car when the tire exploded in the middle of a ride. The car turned and flew off the road.
Fortunately the three children sustained only minor injuries. Brad was more seriously injured – he broke his leg. But Liz, her condition was very difficult – she broke her back and became paralyzed from the waist down.
Brad, who was a soldier, had already seen serious injuries in his life, but nothing could prepare him for the sight of his wife seriously injured.
After the accident Liz tried to go for walks with Brad and the kids, but very quickly realized with the wheelchair she would never be able to hike on uneven routes that she loved so much.
But Brad did not want Liz to feel she was being left behind, so he thought of a plan that would allow her to travel again.
Then, after long months of trial and error, his stubbornness finally paid off. He built a tank-like wheelchair that could go anywhere.
After seeing the wheelchair, Liz no longer felt like she was being left behind.
Then Brad had another idea, he started making more wheelchairs for wounded soldiers.
