Somehow, he sensed that the woman hadn’t just wandered into the off-limits area by accident. On the security footage, he had seen her enter that room and assumed she was still in there.
He opened the door, prepared to ask, “What are you doing back here?” but then froze. The room was empty. Nathan searched every corner, even checking behind some of the closets, but she was nowhere to be found. The woman had vanished.
