A researcher has figured out what our inner selves are trying to teach us about our relationships based on the five ways we sleep.

Spooning.

Partners who sleep like this may depend on each other and have learned how to create a safe space.

This pose gets people very excited because it involves physical contact.

There are two ways to use a spoon: with a big spoon or a small spoon.

Couples who sleep in an intertwined position have a good relationship, and it could mean or show that they count on each other. They are tied together, so they need each other to stay strong.

But it’s not a good idea because it makes it hard to breathe and may cause joint pain because the joints are so tight.
