Tea made with milk is a delightfully creamy and fragrant beverage that has become a staple in many cultures around the world, including India. This beloved drink has legions of devoted fans who can’t start their day without it.

But what happens to your body when you make milk tea a daily ritual? Ipsita Chakraborty, senior nutritionist at Hungry Koala says, “Thanks to the calcium in milk, your bones might get a little stronger. This is especially helpful as you get older and want to avoid osteoporosis. The caffeine in tea can help you feel more alert and focused. It’s like a gentle nudge for your brainpower. Tea is also full of antioxidants, which are like tiny shields protecting your cells from damage.”

However, for some people, milk and tea every day don’t mix well in the gut. This can lead to bloating, gas, and indigestion. Many milk teas are packed with sugar and calories. Too much of this sweet treat can lead to weight gain and potentially increase your risk of type 2 diabetes. Additionally, excessive caffeine can make you want to visit the toilet more, which could leave you dehydrated if you’re not drinking enough water…Click Here To Continue Reading>> …Click Here To Continue Reading>>

How does the caffeine content in milk tea affect body, especially when consumed every day?

The caffeine in milk tea is a double-edged sword, says Chakraborty. “When consumed daily, it can give you a quick pick-me-up and help you concentrate better. But too much caffeine can also lead to anxiety, restlessness, and make it hard to fall asleep.”

Specific nutrients or compounds in milk tea that can impact digestion or metabolism

The ingredients in milk tea can affect your digestion and how your body uses energy in the following ways, as stated by Chakraborty:

Calcium and Vitamin D: These milk nutrients are essential for healthy bones and could even help your metabolism run smoothly.

Antioxidants: They protect your cells from damage.

Tannins: If you’re not careful, too much of these tea compounds could mess with your body’s ability to absorb iron. READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>

Can daily consumption of milk tea contribute to weight gain or other metabolic issues?

Chakraborty agrees that daily milk tea could make it harder to maintain a healthy weight. “Many milk teas are calorie bombs packed with sugar. Regularly drinking these can tip the scales in the wrong direction and raise your risk of health problems like type 2 diabetes.”

The sugar rush from milk tea can wreak havoc on your blood sugar levels, she informs, making them go up and down quickly. Over time, this could contribute to insulin resistance and diabetes.

The combination of sugar and fat in milk tea might encourage your body to store fat, especially around your belly.

What regular milk tea drinkers should keep in mind

Milk tea can be a delicious and enjoyable treat, but it’s important to be mindful of how often you drink it and what kind you choose. To keep things healthy, Chakraborty recommends the following:

* Moderation is Key: Don’t overdo it.

* Choose Wisely: Opt for unsweetened or lightly sweetened versions whenever possible.

* Keep yourself hydrated: Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water alongside your milk tea to stay properly hydrated.

* Listen to Your Gut: If you experience any digestive discomfort, cut back on milk tea or try a different kind.
