Institute suffered more than necessary. He wanted to finish before the buzzer sounded and had to work until the final seconds to put the National Basketball League semifinal series at 1-0. With his heart on his sleeve, when he was able to settle it in advance, Lucas Victoriano’s team beat Olympic de La Banda in a packed Ángel Sandrín stadium by 89 to 85 and ruled.

On Tuesday, from 7:30 p.m., again in Alta Córdoba, the second duel of the series will be played for a place in the final.

Instituto started badly and ended the game badly. But in the middle, he played at a high level, especially in the second quarter (he won it 29-16), at the highest level he can develop. He relied on defense, had judgment in attack and took advantages that in the closing allowed him to keep the victory despite the mistakes against a team from Santiago that fought until the end and had a chance to win the first match.

Roberto Acuña led Albirrojo’s reaction from the second chapter. El Toro took control of the fight under the rings on both sides, and closed the night with 16 points, 6 rebounds and two blocks, a key in the end of the match. Along with the pivot, Mauro Cosolito stood out, with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, and Bautista Lugarini with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Institute party

Led by former albirrojo Nicolás Romano, Olympic dominated from the opening jump. Romanó opened with two triples. Furthermore, the visit closed the painting to the Institute, which had a hard time writing down. Quite the opposite of La Banda’s team, which had an attack with variations, ahead 17-7 in just over five minutes.

The Glory mark was weak and Olympic, shooting with high effectiveness, scored 13 points. The entry of Roberto Acuña gave strength and power to Victoriano’s team near the rim. The Instituto defense improved and reduced the score to 20-24 by closing the first chapter.

Olimpico started the second quarter with a 5-0 (29-20) in 1’10, but the Alta Córdoba team, with the experience of Nicolás Copello and Mauro Cosolito, responded with a 14-0 in just over two minutes to take over the score 34-29.

Instituto defended like on its best nights and took the Santiago team out of the game, who stayed close from the free kick line. Victoriano’s team won in collective firmness since the energy went into halftime ahead 49-40. READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>

The visit narrowed again, 47-52 in 2’40, but Instituto responded with its defense, stole a couple of balls in the first line, ran and scored 10:57-47 a few minutes later. Olympic was also accurate in three-pointers, led by Pato Tabarez, and narrowed the difference again until they were three down: 54-57.

La Gloria once again relied on defense, regained calm in the attack, and won the third episode 66-57.

Instituto brought out its passing game, with Cosolito marking the times, and extended it to 15: 76-61 at 4’20 of the last period. Olimpico fought it off with conversions from Tabarez and Romano, narrowing it to 71-78 with four minutes left.

La Gloria returned to score 11 (82-71) with a triple from Vildoza, although Tabarez was intractable and the visit was one down, 81-82 with 1’17 on the clock, taking advantage of the fact that Albirrojo rushed when they should have played calmer .

“Capi” Vildoza scored another triple and Instituto, suffering, was left with the victory.

European Football Championship: UEFA punishes seven national associations for racism at the European Championship

The European Football Union (UEFA) has imposed fines on seven national associations following racist incidents at the European Championships in Germany. The association announced this in a statement. The associations affected are Albania, Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, Romania, Croatia and Serbia, as their fans were noticed for racist behaviour at matches in the tournament in June and July. In some cases, UEFA also imposed a ban on the sale of tickets for the next away match in a UEFA competition.

According to the association, Croatia must pay 50,000 euros, Romania 40,000 and Serbia, Slovenia, Albania and Hungary 30,000 each. Austria was fined 20,000 euros.

The punishment against Austria relates to the match against Poland on June 21, as the Austrian news agency APA reported, citing the national association. According to the report, it was about a banner held up in the fan block with the inscription “Defend Europe” – the title of a campaign by the right-wing extremist Identitarian Movement. The banner cannot be attributed to the organized fan scene of the national team, the Austrian association announced after the match.

yunhap news
There is a possibility that North Korea will strike at the origins of leaflet scattering by domestic civic groups, but the government does not plan to request that the groups refrain from scattering leaflets.

A Ministry of Unification official met with reporters at the government complex in Seoul on the 25th and said about concerns about North Korea’s artillery attack, “In the past, North Korea has threatened to strike at the source of anti-North Korea leaflets, so I think the relevant groups are aware of that situation.”

When asked whether they would request self-restraint in scattering leaflets due to concerns about the possibility of artillery fire from North Korea, a Unification Ministry official responded, “This has already been reported and the groups themselves are probably well aware of it,” reaffirming their existing policy of not directly requesting self-restraint. Meanwhile, Minister of National Defense Shin Won-sik said in an interview with Japan’s Yomiuri Shimbun the previous day, “Vice Department Director of the Workers’ Party of Korea Kim Yo-jong signaled a change in response in her statement on the 16th criticizing the scattering of leaflets by a South Korean civilian group,” and “There is a possibility that they will shoot down South Korean balloons used to scatter leaflets or fire or shell the bases from which the balloons are flying, so we are closely monitoring the situation.”
