NARRATOR: Germany at the start of the 20th Century – the Wilhelmine era. Named after this man: Wilhelm the Second, a German Emperor striving for international standing – for himself and his empire. He places his hopes in a sea power, commanding that a fleet be built that is “as beautiful as that of England.” This is the cause of some resentment, and not only in Great Britain.
Allies France and Russia are also wary of the emerging power in the center of Europe, which soon stands isolated alongside Austria-Hungary. In May 1913, the crowned heads of Europe meet in Berlin for the wedding of the Emperor’s daughter, Victoria. They are almost all related. But this harmonious family image is deceptive. The deployment plans of the general staff are well under way. Above all, the Balkans are a tinderbox in waiting…Click Here To Continue Reading>> …Click Here To Continue Reading>>

The Bosnian Serbs push for independence from the Habsburg Empire – from Austria-Hungary. In late June 1914, a Serbian nationalist shoots dead the Austrian heirs to the throne. This is the spark.

OTTO VON HABSBURG: “The whole world order broke down. After this, there was a very strong desire for war in Austria. People had already had enough of the Serbian provocation.”

NARRATOR: Following the death of his nephew, the Emperor of Austria hopes to settle scores with the Serbs. But they are allied with Russia. Emperor Franz Joseph sends an envoy to Berlin to request support from his German ally. Kaiser Wilhelm takes a belligerent stance and declares his support in the event of war.

On July 9, 1914, the Austrian artillery opens the bombardment of Belgrade. Can war still be avoided? With Russia also on the move, the Emperor, hoping to avert catastrophe, turns to his cousin, the Russian Tsar Nicholas. But it is too late. Europe teeters into war. On August 1, 1914, the German Kaiser announces the general mobilization from his palace in Berlin.

KAISER WILHELM: “So now the sword must decide. Any dithering, any faltering would be treason to the Fatherland.” READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>

There Is No Heaven And No Hell Fire; See What Happens When you Die

“What happens when you die?” you might think. You are the latest in a long line of historical figures to wonder the same thing.

The afterlife has historically been important to societies all throughout the world. In Greek and Roman mythology, it was referred to as an underworld. Valhalla, a paradise, was referenced by the Vikings. In Chinese mythology, there is a concept of the Diyu, or hell. For many Great Plains tribes, it was a “good hunting field.”

Long before recorded history, people interred the dead with food, tools, jewels, and other useful items. The fact that the living assumed the dead would need these things after they passed away indicates that they had faith in a hereafter…Click Here To Continue Reading>> …Click Here To Continue Reading>>

Diverse Points of View

Science and medicine

Students studying science and medicine have come to very different conclusions about death. Some people consider that believing in science precludes the supernatural, including life beyond death. Others argue that science reveals, or at the very least hints, that there is life after death.

Stephen Hawking, a scientist, compares death to a computer that breaks down. He had a fantasy of the hereafter.

Nobel Prize winner Max Planck contended that science proved that the mind is not a product of physical matter (such as brain cells). Since it exists outside of physical matter, it might survive physical death. READ FULL STORY HERE>>>CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING>>>

Others assert that since the fundamental law of thermodynamics indicates that neither energy nor matter can be created nor destroyed, life cannot end after death.

Medical professionals and researchers have also studied the experiences of people who were declared clinically dead but later came back to life. In a significant scientific investigation, a team from the University of Southampton in England found signs of consciousness after a time of cardiac arrest without any brain activity.

Based on study and case studies like this, some scientists have come to the conclusion that there must be life after death.

Philosophy

Additionally, philosophy has a lot to say about this. Ancient thinkers like Socrates and Plato believed that the soul persisted after death. Immanuel Kant later came to the opinion that morality required the existence of both a just judge and an afterlife.

Intellectual atheists who rejected the idea of an afterlife included Marx, Lenin, and Nietzsche. They believed that enjoying life fully and believing in a hereafter were mutually exclusive.

Sarah Mahlangu is currently confronted with severe legal repercussions as a result of her actions. However, the broader issue of support for struggling parents remains a pressing concern, and her fate will be determined by the legal system.
